I want to push Wargames Atlantic to make this set a permanent part of their plactics offerings.

Currently they are print files only at $20. USD

If you are a 28mm Napoleonic gamer, would you buy this box of miniatures?

Definitely. There are too few sources for these figures and those there are have too few good figures.

I'd definitely buy them. But I don't have, or intend to purchase, a printer – just another pieces of expensive technology to have to master and suffer wen it goes wrong…

Definitely buy!

I find it hard to imagine there is enough market to cover the tooling costs of a plastic set, but WA do produce some sets that I would have thought equally obscure

I would buy them but use them for SYW

I think they are worth buying. As noted above, is it worth the production cost do make them?

Duc de Brouilly14 Dec 2023 11:41 a.m. PST

Would definitely buy.

I'd buy them. I'm sure I could use them for ECW and Three Musketeers games without much trouble.

Finally after 4 decades have some, they spice up a game board

Where do I send my $$$$?

Titchmonster14 Dec 2023 6:17 p.m. PST

Yep, use them for earlier periods

Definitely get 2-3 sets of them.

I would definitely like some but heartily echo arthur1815's comment.

I would by them. But I have no intention of buying a 3D printer until the price comes down, they are easier to use, and I know that they will last for a long time. Patience concerning purchasing anything tech related is one of my virtues. I didn't have a cell phone until 2011, the one that I have is still a flip phone, and I rarely turn it on. The same goes for computers. The one that I am currently using was purchased in 2011.

For those of you who, like me, don't intend to get into 3D printing, you do know there are companies that will print your files for you, or may have purchased the license and will print them? Ask Wargames Atlantic who has bought a license to print these, if anyone has, or if it would be okay to have a company or even a friend print for you.

Jens Najewitz Modellbau has excellent 3D files, and I wanted his Tyrol and Austrian sets for the 1809 Tyrolean Revolt as terrain for the terrific Piano Wargames figures. I found BattleHonours3d purchased Jen's' files and will print them in almost any scale. So, even though I have no printer, I have the 3D sets I wanted anyway. You want it, get it, because not having a printer is no longer an obstacle.

Would consider them if they were metal.

Don't play Napoleonics. Just bought them. As above, they apply for a few other milieux. Logistic assets are vital parts of warfare.

Paying for the file and paying to have someone print them would break my price point. A better business idea would be companies that sell files have a direct POD relationship with a printer and offer a combined service where both sides offer a discount for their side of the combined service.

Legionarius19 Dec 2023 8:47 p.m. PST

I would buy them in metal or plastic if all in one piece. I don't like to put together plastics, it cuts down on my painting and playing time.
