You were asked – TMP link

How far (in hours) would you travel each way to take part in what you expected to be a good miniatures game?

Average response: 1.8 hours

3% said they don't travel for a game.

I thought the title meant length of time to play. Oh well, that's also 2 hours.

I'm a one hour travel guy myself.

"3% said they don't travel for a game."

That number sees a little low and is the reason the hobby is losing members! Some people will not even travel 10 miles for a game they love.

I just figured some people don't travel because they're the ones hosting the games. grin

Drive about one hour…play…then drive another hour home seems to be the pattern. Or just host the game in the game warren.

I live in the metropolitan Washington DC area. Ten miles is over 2 hours.

Heheheheh … well, sometimes

Over 2 hours to go 10 miles sound about right, if you're walking, and carrying a backpack full of gaming stuff.

Or just driving …

I used to kid colleagues in Hawaii about traffic. Interstate H1 is less than 30 miles. In DC, it's not a backup until it's longer than 30 miles.
