I've just ordered these rules.

Has anyone else heard of them?

Can anyone recommend a source for 1:72 Japanese warring period models?

The Zvezda sets pretty much set the bar for accuracy and quality of sculpts. YMMV as to supporting Russian companies right now…

Zvezda packs do look pretty good. Can anyone recommend a us distributor for them?

Also, should I look at other scales?
I have a lot of 25-28mm fantasy and some 15mm sci-fi.
I thought 1:72 plastics would be inexpensive, but I'm having trouble finding a retailer who carries them.

Red box are good for masses of Ashigaru, not sure how easy they are to get hold of in the US though, not forgetting that they need plenty of word trimming flash! Only seen one set of YMMV, that is the Samurai on the above link,Tally Ho!

In 28mm, Fireforge has a new plastic Samurai range, can be supplemented with various metal ranges.

I picked up some red box Ashigaru and peasants.
I ordered some Mars Samurai.
I'll let you know how they work out

"YMMV as to supporting Russian companies right now…"

Mind: the Russian people is not the same as the Russian dictator.

MightyCthulhu09 Dec 2023 1:05 p.m. PST

@Porthos absolutely.

Correct, but Russian economy is Russian economy, so YMMV.

MightyCthulhu09 Dec 2023 6:49 p.m. PST

Yeah but I can not buy them from a Russian.
I can buy them from a retailer in another country.
For example I found a Ukraine retailer who has some stock so the manufacturer already got theirs irrespective of my purchase.
