Were the Government Dragoons in the Jacobite Rebellion Light Dragoons or Heavy – what was their headgear?

Regular dragoons in tricones.

I don't think there were any British Light Dragoons until the Seven Years War, so in the ‘45 they would have been the standard dragoons.

There were two newly raised Light Horse Regiments, 9th Richmond's and 10th Kingston's, which acted as Light Dragoons to some extent. The 10th Kingston's were converted to the 15th Light Dragoons in 1746. Both Light Horse Regiments wore tricornes and probably wore blue jackets.
