Over the years there have been many Doctors, and there have been even more variations of the theme and opening graphics. What's your favourite?

Here's a handy reference guide

I really like the 3rd doctor's first opening sequence, the second version is shocking, and the 3rd version for the 3rd doctor might just be my favourite overall. The 4th doctor's first sequence really trumps the second one for quality. The 12th Doctor's first sequence is my favourite graphics of the modern era – I don't think any of the modern music has the same impact as it sounds much more conventional than the early electronic soundtrack.

And part of me thinks that the very first version has never been bettered – in 1963 that must have been a flipping strange combination of sounds and graphics.

Thanks, this look interesting. (Not sure what it says about me that I WANT to listen to this.)

I'll have to listen to this a few times before I vote.

Clearly never saw some of these but going through them all found I like the elegant simplicity of the 1st theme tune best. Some of the later ones are really overblown.

4th Dr. is what I'm most familiar with, thus my favorite by default. And now that I've got the song stuck in my head, I'm going to play it on a loop.

I cant say I have a favourite; they are all evocative of the time you watched the stories.
Ive been watching a lot of 1st Doctor on BBC iplayer, and am transported back to Winter 1963-4, watching all this age 6 on a small black and white telly late Saturday afternoon
