I am trying to find out what army and outfit these miniatures belong to? I think they are Mexicans from the American West during the American Indian Wars as that is what the Casacas Azules comic was about but I cannot find any army or unit during that time with these uniforms and hats. I am interested in finding out what the color scheme was?

Any US cavalryman in a winter hat. It is probably supposed to be the 1879 muskrat fur cap.

I agree with 79th. But I can't remember ever seeing that cap worn without a good winter coat. Doesn't mean it never happened, of course.

I was thinking the same thing, but I figured artistic license.

Possible Royal Canadian Mounted Police? US Cavalry wore their pistol holster on the right hip.

I am thinking Mounties too.

Looking at the comic – I didnt see any winter uniforms – However – there was one where they traveled to Quebec – as most of the sculpts seem on point for the series – I would agree with other posters that they are likely the Mounties

Yes, that does appear to be the case.

Funny, so it was not the Royal Canadian Mounted Police but the Northwest Mounted Police. However I cannot find any reference to them wearing the Muskrat hats prior to 1940.

The winter dress for the NWMP from the time of their formation included a fur hat and a short buffalo jacket – after the 1880s the buffalo jackets were phased out as the buffalo herds that had supplied them ceased to exist – so these figs could very well be NWMP sans their buffalo coats, notably with the holster on the left side
