Sometimes this was whole figures like the Mego Secret Identity figures; other times, carry cases or even playsets meant to be used with the toys unofficially. All I can say is my parents were very glad these didn't come out 20 years earlier. I would have pestered them until they gave in and bought me the set. Then I would have thrown dirt clods at it as bombardment followed by the head of a croquet mallet as a bunker buster.
