Many.of you might know David Manley. He has designed all the STL ACW ironclads for Long Face Games. He has also written many ironclad rules on Wargames Vault. I learned a couple of days ago that he is in hospital in London, UK, after suffering a stroke. I don't know anything more but will post when I know. |

Oh geez, that's terrible news. David is very nice fellow, a wealth of naval knowledge and has written some incredibly good naval rulesets. I don't know him well but I've emailed him over the years and he's always been incredibly decent to me and answered my questions. I first came to know his rules with his pre-dread rules You May Fire When Ready. I own and have enjoyed his fast play renaissance galley set and have a live affair with his missile.boat ruleset Bulldogs Away. I will say a prayer David and he will be in my thoughts as well. |

I have no idea what goes on with TMP when I use my phone. Probably not you. Our server was under attack earlier today, and things got a little rattled before the tech people came to the rescue. Best wishes to David. |

I hope David gets better soon and the Stroke isn't too severe, he is a fantastic proponent for all things Naval in the wargaming world.
