As the hard pressed Chitral garrison holds out the honorable General Horatio McGuinness, KMC drives his reinforced brigade NE to relive the siege. Russian General Skobelev, intent on stopping the Anglo Indian relief force marches SW skirting Chitral Territory with the hope of catching the Anglo-Indian force unawares. Thus the scenario is set.
TURN 1: "Colonel Davenport, a report is coming in from the Heliograph Team at point 225 from the crossroads ahead. "Large enemy force approaching, formed infantry, formed cavalry, baggage train, and artillery. They are Europeans sir, Russians in fact! Our Afridi scouts have just confirmed it, a reinforced Brigade is on the march sir". The Great Game is afoot…. This is another game in our ongoing NWF Campaign that was played out at an HMGS-South convention, HurriCon-22, in Kissimmee, Fl. This game was run by SMG – South Florida Miniatures Gamers club from Fort Lauderdale Fl. For a photo filled AAR and scenario specs please visit: link |

Jeff, A great battle report! Nice to see some familiar faces from the old Colonial Barracks days. Jim |

Absolutely first rate write up. I had the pleasure of playing in this game and like all of Jeff's games an absolute blast to play. Usually I have terrible die rolling in Jeff's games, especially when it comes to movement. Jeff has peered over my shoulder as my forces at times have moved with all the speed of recent road kill. For some reason I was rolling lights out this game. And the luck extended to my combat rolls as well. Great game with the initiative constantly changing and the battle not decided until the final rounds. |

Marc, what a great time, it's always a pleasure to have you in our games my friend, and to be in yours. You certainly did have hot dice! Since you were running my Anglo-Indian troops from our campaign it was most appreciated! LOL |

Great looking game. I had never seen an elephant hooked up to limber like a horse. |
