Contemplating getting into 28mm WWII skirmish – on a small scale (a platoon or so, with minimal support – looking at "Nuts!" for rules, as they seem best for solo play). Because of family history, I have a particular fondness for the fighting around the bridge over the Merderet River (specifically Timmes Orchard).
US Airborne is obvious, but I will need the 91st Airlanding Division for the Germans. If I decide to go Warlord plastics, which of the following would best model the 91st?
Grenadiers
Luftwaffe field division
German Infantrty

German infantry. While the 91st was in theory an air landing division, they weren't part of the Luftwaffe and weren't a Luftwaffe field division.

I agree, just go with a standard German uniform and equipment.

You know it will not end there, but your initial unit will be useable in other service.
