Hi guys I love seeing converted figures at 3 stages, pre undercoated in all their green stuff glory, undercoated, which pulls the figures together and shows the detail ready to paint, and of course finished, here are some pics of my Oels jager sharpshooter undercoated ready for the paint brush, this will be the start of a Brunswick Sharp practice force. link link

Interesting that you say this is the start of a Brunswick Sharp Practice force – this unit did not serve alongside the other 11 companies of the Brunswick Oels Jager Battalion (all eleven of which were uniformed and armed the same, ie in the all-black outfits and with muskets, not rifles). If you are planning to make these riflemen part of an SP2 force, you will have to match them up with British skirmishers drawn from the light companies of the battalions of the 4th Division – although this is good, as these companies did, in fact, form an ad hoc battalion in the field. You could also join them with the light companies of the 11th and 23rd Line and 7th Cacadores from the attached Portuguese brigade of Collins. |
