Brilliant and much overdue. The BBC has announced that Wolf Hall part 2 is being filmed. It will be called The Mirror and The Light. link The Mirror and the Light will complete the saga of Thomas Cromwell, seen on the rise in the service of King Henry VIII in the first series. This new production of six parts will follow his fall and subsequent execution. Mark Rylance was brilliant as Thomas Cromwell. Damian Lewis played a youthful, active and less overweight Henry VIII. As I got near to the end of that book I was hoping for a different ending.
I'm really looking forward to seeing it – the TV adaptation was excellent too – but of course I'll need to reread the trilogy first. |
