First, a funny side note:
On the MiniFigs web site, the menu bar lists our scale as "MiniFigs 10mm/12mm". Last time I was looking at them (a couple months ago), the web page for each national selection said "12mm"; now they say "10mm". I think somebody over there is having a hard time deciding which particular exact-scale fanatics they can afford to Bleeped text off. grin

I've been window shopping Minifigs 12mm infantry for a while. A couple times I've put together a largish order, but I keep balking because I have to buy a LOT of them to minimize the shipping cost, and I really can't tell if I'll like them. I also worry that Victrix will eventually make what I really want (8th Army, DAK and Italian infantry for N. Africa), and then I'll have a quandry (replace all the Minifigs, or try desperately to ignore the gob-smackingly gorgeous Victrix figures and keep telling myself I don't need them… every few months until I make an impulse purchase).

I have found some photos (including by our own TMP members) that show they aren't quite as nice as Victrix, but the descriptions state they are taller and slighter than Pendraken, which is what I'm looking for. In the photos, the detail looks a little bit murkier and less distinct than Victrix, but it's hard to tell how much that matters. The poses and proportions aren't quite as natural.

There are lots of comparison photos of MiniFigs 12mm vehicles, including some comparison shots with other 10mm and 1/144 vehicles, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any side-by-side comparisons of Victrix 12mm and MiniFigs 12mm infantry. I'm a little bit worried about absolute size compatibility. If anyone has such photos, I'd appreciate seeing them.

Looks like the Minifigs have been primed and without a wash for the details like the Victrix has. Recognize the effort to just get this much done. I just want to point out that at an arm's length they should work well together. Even more so from across the table.

Victrix are much better but also bigger. I also bought Minifig infantry to play along Pendraken vehicles for the same reason you said.

The comparison pic has the minis in the raw – just plastic vs. metal, w/o paint.

Blacksmith, that's some fine painting and basing there.
