I think Ontos (the thing) was one of the best armor vehicles ever. Rifle, Multiple 106 mm, Self-propelled, M50 .

Just do not stand behind it when it fired a salvo. I suspect it could have pointed away from the NVA and still killed as many.

Like most recoilless rifles, whatever its massive advantage in weight, or more its lack of, its blast signature made it useless/suicidal against Warsaw Pact forces in NW Europe.

The Ontos was an interesting vehicle. I had the Renwall kit as a kid.
