Scientists point out that atmospheric conditions on Earth during the dinosaur eras were vastly different and easier to detect than current conditions— including both more oxygen and more carbon. The suggestion is that we're not looking broadly enough for potential signs of life, and that other Earth-like worlds could exist at similar levels to our own global past. link

Great science, yes, but what really matters is we've just justified the existence of the Gorn!

Also, according to some reports I've read, two known exoplanets are likely to have these levels. They are located a mere 70 and 110 light years away.
I will also note that human transmission of microwave communication began around that same time period.

Prepare to welcome your new lizard overlords!

Looks like Khurasan's stuff to me. They make them in 15 and 28mm sizes.
