His work is all outstanding, in samurai movies and other settings. Yeah. Taiko drummers at festivals today wear Meiji period workers' garb because his performance in Rickshaw Man set the standard! The first time I started watching Rickshaw Man, it suddenly occurred to me — wait, Toshiro Mifune as the rickshaw man, I wonder if he will keep his pants on?!? Added a lot of fun suspense to the movie. : 3

I really like Red Sun & have watched it several times. It was a clever idea to have Mifune come to California, team up with Bronson & have them battle Comanches.
