As its that time of year where modellers oftren have to provide ideas for a relative as to a Christmas present just got the Landcraft series book on the Sdkfz 234 series of armoured cars and on a quick flick through it looks excellent.
Nice color pics of colour schemes, some fine builds, lots of BW detail pics and some interesting details on unit allocations.

Yes, a good choice. I have found them excellent sources as a modeller, wargamer and historian. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the intel. I just ordered the Puma one. I didn't know that one had come out.

I wish someone did kits to alter the Matchbox Puma to one of the other 234 variants, or to convert / correct the Airfix one likewise. Matador does a correction kit for the mudguards (which were different to Puma mudguards) but if you want a 20mm turreted or short 75mm variant you're looking at scratchbuilding.

The 234's are covered by the Hasegewa kits ( a bit rare but still around) or the Roden kits. Attack have done a version of the Roden Puma with a corrected turret. Quite a few resin options as well Millicast in 1/76 and MARS in particular in 1/72 scale.

i am sure some here will remember the MINI TANKS Puma.
The rounded turret looked really good.
Shame on the Germans for not using the mini tanks plans?

Hasegawa and Roden are 1/72. If you want a 1/76 there is the inaccurate (oversized wheels) Matchbox, even more inaccurate (completely wrong mudguards) Airfix, or a complete resin kit. Someone (Matador?) does a correction kit for the Airfix, but I don't think anyone does a kit to both correct the mudguards and alter the weaponry.
