Starting at 2:00 p.m., I went to say goodbye to Hirano, Shitayama, and Nishi, and bought a pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition at the Uchiyama gun shop. At 5:00 p.m. I went back to the company and after the farewells there I attended a farewell party for the association (B) in Kisei-ya from 6:00 p.m. When I got home at 8:00 p.m., the Nagashima family and Aunt Hirano came to see me, as well as Endò Yoshibý, Mitsuda, Isome and Ozeki. At 11:00 p.m. I shaved my hair completely and finally fell asleep…"
