"Jerk rulers, just like normal jerks in everyday life, have been all too common throughout history. Major difference, of course, being scale: if a king, queen, or other royal, is a jerk or pulls off a jerk move, the impact could be orders of magnitude greater than the jerkiness of a random Joe Schmoe. Below are twenty five things about kings, queens, and other royals who pulled off jerk moves that range from the mildly distasteful to the utterly horrific…" Main page link Armand

"Jerk" seems hardly the word for people doing atrocities. I regard the word to mean someone who is an annoying pain in the backside not a mass killer.["That Hitler, he's SUCH a jerk"] And I thought it was a bit tough on Victoria who seems to be expected to be different from everyone else back then. Im not really a fan of these "list" articles [so you will say, dont read them then] |

So don't read them. :) Just joking. I agree with you. I find most of these list things. Either the writer doesn't know what they are talking about or it is all opinion based. |

Victoria's alleged "jerkiness" certainly didn't match up to the others on the list. |

Pathetic. I'd expect a website that has 'history' in the title to be a tad more sophisticated in its approach than 'Horrible Histories' – this is obviously the 'Dumb & Dumber' version. All viewed from a current perspective with no knowledge of what was considered ethical at the time. |
