I agree with you, they look more like Army SF/LRRPs. It's not that they couldn't be Marines, just Marines tend to have looked different, with line units wearing helmets and flak jackets and Recon units wearing boonie covers, but with lots more gear on.

Not bad figures to look at, in any case.
