in the last month i saw a clip of a movie, that japan soldiers surrender in dec. 1945. their were 37 or so left after 18 months of fighting and protecting civilians. i thought it said saipan but i could be wrong? it is a newer movie also. if any one could help me find the name of it…thank u.

They did not protect civilians in Saipan since they all jumped off a cliff to avoid capture by US forces.
