Did a whole lot of excato work on some 28mm Malaysian Police figures from Grubbys Tanks.

Two platoons worth with M1 carbines and a few converted to Carbines.

Two more platoons worth with conversions to M16s and M203s.

Also an odd platoon of Ironwind Metals anti-terrorist fighter figures pretty suitable as Thais or Laotions with a half dozen converted US troopers with M203 for firepower.

Deadhead will post pictures as he toils away through my many gigabytes of emails and pics.

One lot of Malaysian Police in berets converted to M1
carbines for the first two pictures.
Trooper front and back as it is actually made with M1
carbine and backpack, notice the longer 30 round magazine.
Trooper front and back as converted with M1 carbine from TAG
and bandoleer from Ironwind Metals.
Sten gun as manufactured with backpack added.
Figure converted to M79 grenade launcher and backpack.

Baseball cap figure with M203, Base trooper with M16 and
radio, can't miss the whisk broom bristle sticking over his
back, another base trooper figure and the hatless officer
figure. These figures are from ironwind Metals and more of
roleplaying and closer to the old 25mm scale from the
eighties. Works pretty well for various south asian troop
types though and add a platoon of more variety.

One platoon samples of Malaysian police converted to M16 and
M16 with M203s.
Warbases Officer figure with pistol, backpack and grenades
on belt added.
M203 converted figure front.
Next three are backs and front of various M16 trooopers with
backpacks from Ironwind Metals or a transluscent one from
Shapeways that is a perfect match for the ARVN two pocket
ruck.

A labor of love.

Funny thing is, when I say platoons, I am not kidding.
Near eighty figures with carbine, another eighty with M16s and another three dozen of the baseball cap guys.

My fingers have the exacto knife scars to match.
