For my Metis I used Wargames Foundry mountain men from their old west range with A variety of buckskins and capotes. link

Honestly i don't think the Metis much resembled Coureur De Bios, from what I've seen the Metis were mostly dressed in narrow brimmed hats, suit coats with braided belts, looking rather frumpy. On the prairie you would see more blanket coats, buckskins and fringed hunting shirts. No tricornes.
The Wargames Foundry figures give quite a variety although they do border on caricature.
