Does anybody know which ships were contributing to NATO's STANAVFORLANT during 1985? Seems to be hard to find specific OOB's for specific years. Although it may just be my Google-fu failing me.

This site has photos of STANAVFORLANT, including two from 1985.

But the ORBAT would have changed once during the year. For the Canadian navy, I think HMCS Nipigon was attached in 1985 also.

The late 1985 image here lists USS BRISCOE, FGS HESSEN, HMS BATTLEAXE, HMCS OTTAWA, and HNLMS TROMP as the ships deployed.

Whatever country had the flag for the squadron in that year usually produced a commemorative photo book. 1984-85 was an FRG flag year. The resulting book is listed here on Abe Books.

Good luck.
