I use craft paints and have for years. Whats the best color for Dutch Far East forces, KNIL

What craft paints are you using? Folk Art, Anitas, Ceramicoat, Apple Barrel? There's a big choice out there and some of the colors don't match up very well.

americana, apple barrel, folk art. I use them all

Wow man, that is fascinating! Are they very different from model paints? I am assuming your reliance on them is based on monetary calculations?

they are different. I find them to cover better and have a wider range of colors, and yes they are cheaper

1937 service uniform & insignia
Tunic was made of a 'grey-green' (actually, olive) cotton material and closed by 7 removable 13mm bronze buttons of Dutch 'lion' pattern.
Unmounted branches wore matching trousers of tapered 'breeches' cut, with puttees, and black ankle-high field shoes

To be honest I don't think the plates look very olive.
