Some pics

Thought some pics would not go amiss. I was really doing some pics for another thread but hey some gratuitous pics never hurt.
The figure are true 1/144 and AOTRS Shipyards mostly, FDM prints except the infantry, and mine rollers which are Shapeways Strong White flexible, as was and the Tank Pushing the rollers CANDO as I recall. Yes the jeep with men is is FDM.

the models are:

Gepard, Buffel engineeering vehicle (crane down), Leopard 1, Highmarrs and a Unimog truck

Are these part of your collection?

UshCha19 Oct 2023 11:18 a.m. PST

79thPA most are out my standard bod. The HIMARS may never get used but the rest have fought on my battlefields. The Buffel has done some sterling work

Thanks. Nice looking vehicles. I'd be interested in seeing more of your collection.

The HIMARS seems a bit out of place in a short-range micro-tactical fight, but who can resist having the REALLY BIG GUNS? grin

UshCha19 Oct 2023 4:13 p.m. PST

Yellow Admiral The Himars like the Man truck is not there for play its just a toy but I thought it fun to show it. It has never been "Out of the Box" for a wargame.

79thPA where to start, Russian, Geman, a few Chech?

How about German?

Nice table! I like the buildings and the fact that the vehicles do not have bases (looks much better that way).

UshCha20 Oct 2023 1:13 a.m. PST

Stryderg. For the buildings that is not the half of it. You take them off the base and store them flat, it only takes seconeds. If you look carefully at the middle picture, building on the LHS, you can see the tab 'cause I did not notice I had not pushed the roof down enough.
We do make the images available to print your own but they do need 250 to 300 grm coloured card for preference. It will go through a standard printer, some easier tan others and it does need some care to make them so thay fold flat. But the storage space saving is huge. The base also folds and has a system that keeps them in place and gives a second floor.

Like you I hate based vehicles. You have to touch our vehicles anyway as you need to turn the turrets like real tanks.

The mine roller tank has to be on a base as its a standard tank with the mine roller just touching so it needs to be on a base really. Haven't got the space or enthusiasm fo a seperate tank with mine roller tank and it would vbe very vulnerable and expensive because the mine roller really needs to be a high res Resin print.

PS to 79th PA or anybody in the know. if the tank was actually rolling what have I got wrong.

Here's a nice one from your collection UshCha -

Are those available 3D Prints?

UshCha20 Oct 2023 5:32 a.m. PST

More Germans,
The Panzerschnellbrucke 2 or PBS 2 Bridge layer, Luchs Recon Armoured car, Marder (modern), M113AG (distinctive front box, with smoke discharge's, M113 with Tow Turret and one with Observation Turret, minimal differences, slightly different hulls, on has 2 aerials. Mast varients Up and down (separate masts)

All now AOTRS Shipyards The Luchs is my own CADDS model but I passes it to Shipyards just to get the fame and let other folk get the model as there was no decent model at the time.

The LUCHS is the only FDM model. The Marder is a material Shapeways were testing instead of Strong White Flexible and Shipyards let me order Mader's in it as a test, relatively cheaply for this material. They are very little better than strong white flexible and the actual price was far too expensive so it never hit the "shops".

Note these are quite old models so they mat be a bit grubby from use but they still fight, I had to nick the Marder off the battlefield for this shot. That does mean they don't have locking turrets, they all now have this feature.

There are more models in my box so you may get lucky and get some more pics.

FlyXwire You got that up faster than me!

Yes they are available as 3D prints from Shapeways, or
Only games but I had to search for it on the site, this may help.

Now you can even get the STL's for printing your own from
My mini Factory. Its a crap site but search for AOTRS, find a modern model than hit collections and its a bit easier. Link below may help.

Otherwise go to AOTRS Shipyards facebook page and use that its more sane.

After some delay the last of the Germans.

Man truck, yes its the correct size I checked it, really a bit big for most scenarios, more of a model or a bit of scenery.

Marder A3's one FDM one Strong White Flexible.

Wiesel 20mm and Tow (Paratroop vehicles). These are so old they are pre the most modern slicers so are Strong White flexible.

Unimog to scale against the Man truck.

M577 command vehicle that in big games sometimes gets on the table.

Finally not for squeamish painters, some of my Prone infantry, real scale easy store "gaming infantry". Personally one of my best creations but not everybody's idea of perfect.

All AOTRS Shipyards models or STL's see post above.

If there is still interest I could start on Russians.
