The "Peaceful Ocean" seems an odd choice for wargamers !!

I thought the Ocean entries were too broad, covering too much territory. Named seas, gulfs, bays, lakes, estuaries, rivers made a lot more sense as being more narrowly defined and actually associated more closely with various battles. But whatever.

Agreed. How are "Pacific Ocean" and "English Channel" even in the same category?

The Pacific Ocean and the English Channel are both filled with water, except for where they aren't.
