Today a recommendation for a trip to an extremely successful Roman reconstruction in the small village Perl Borg, Germany. It's near the oldest city of Germany, Trier.
Maybe it will inspire you to build such a villa as a model.

Interesting, though they put glass in the windows…glass came after 100 AD and was very different.
