"I wanted to run a tweaked version of my Congo civil war game set during the Katanga secession crisis at Drums at the Rapids this past weekend. I was running it both Friday night and Saturday morning at the Fort Meigs visitors center, where Drums is held every year. Luckily, I had a my full complement of six players both games. I love this period I just cannot convince anyone to game it. Can't you just collect everything yourself? I myself have zero interest in Napoleonics yet have never declined a game put together by others. |

"Can't you just collect everything yourself?" That is not the issue, the guys I game with have their preferences and are quite vocal about them. Even if I collected everything they would refuse. They only want to play Fantasy or scifi. The good news is I can reskin the conflict with scifi miniatures, and they couldn't tell the difference… |

You could pass it off as a primitive farming planet that has stopped paying taxes to the imperial forces. Local, poorly armed, troops are sent in to collect what's due and punish the offenders. |
