Reports are the IDF is on the offensive. Has been laying waste to Rafah. And the Palestinians are being run out of town and the UN will probably have to set up more refugee camps. Hamas, and the other terrorist there will pretty all go down fighting. Save for their leadership, who will hide out in some "friendly" moslem country. The hostages sadly may all be dead by now. I hope I'm wrong, but that is the last card Hamas has to play. They can only bluff for so long. Gaza should be leveled and abandoned. All tunnels, etc. destroyed. Put a big fence around it. Lay clearly marked minefields and other obstacles. Have drones patrol it in large numbers 24 hrs. a day. They can be spotters for FA, etc. The IDF should use it as a target range for CAS, FA, drones, etc. Remember what the Romans did to Carthage … |

Who did not see this as the inevitable outcome of what is happening in and around our campuses? The terrorists murderer: Elias Rodriguez from Chicago. After the murders he went inside and people inside offered him water and aid, not knowing he was the killer. Then he started shouting… "I did this for Gaza!" "When police arrived at the scene, he pulled out a red keffiyeh and repeatedly yelled, "Free Palestine," witnesses and police said." These people have been indoctrinated on many of our college campuses. With hate of the west, the white race and their perceived association with colonialist oppression against the brown man. "He previously worked as an oral history researcher at the History Makers a nonprofit that documents African American history, his LinkedIn shows. His bio on the site, which was deleted after the shooting, noted that he holds a bachelor degree in English from the University of Illinois at Chicago. " "The suspected terrorist busted for shooting dead two Israeli Embassy staffers has ties to a radical left-wing group that fiercely advocates on behalf of Palestinians. Rodriguez was once linked to the Party for Socialism and Liberation a far-left group that regularly posts anti-Israel rhetoric on social media. "End the genocide. Israel out of Gaza now," the group posted Wednesday just hours before the DC shooting. The group confirmed Rodriguez's membership in the wake of the shooting as they distanced themselves from the violence." White colonialist indoctrination you might ask….. "In a since-deleted article on the group's Liberation news outlet, Rodriguez was described as a member who participated in a 2017 protest outside the home of then-Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel over the shooting death of 17-year-old black teen Laquan McDonald. Rodriguez railed against Amazon during the protest, accusing the company of not sharing its wealth with black residents. "[Amazon's] whitening of Seattle is structurally racist and a direct danger to all workers who live in that city," he was quoted as saying. "So do we in Chicago and all across the country want a nation of cities dominated and occupied by massive corporations where only the rich and white can live and the vast majority of us must live on the edges of the city and society living in deeper and deeper poverty?"" +1 , 35th. The Forward article nails it. This guy is crazy delusional and Gazans gain no benefit from his crime. He could not even see this, blinded by hatred. And the writer tells us that Israel is in danger from both ends of the political spectrum, easy to forget in our blamer culture. One extremist killer is one too many. I keep thinking about the Texas Walmart terrorist and the large number of people he killed and wounded based on extremist beliefs. There is free speech to consider, but in such a large population, there are always people going off the deep end. We are an angry nation and tipping points are sometimes reached for the deluded fanatics. We can't find a way to prevent them all from acting and giving us another tragedy. The war on universities and academic elites is not going to do the trick. We need them to change, not collapse. Harvard is suddenly united around its president and the institution following the government actions. It has some issues to answer for, but it is also one of the world's great research hubs, an American institution. Address the issues, make a deal, as we do with foreign enemies. |

These lone wolves or whatever they are being called. Actually, are just good propaganda for whatever cause they are supporting. Bottom line IMO, the far-left, anti-US, etc. have become a staple at US places of learning. The pro-Palestinian which actually is pro Hamas, even saw ISIS flags in the crowds. Are not just anti-Semitic, but dig in deeper they are anti-West. They want to destroy Western society and culture. These "useful dupes" are well funded by far-left socialists woke progressive/DEI/CRT, etc. US supporters, E.g. Soros and many others. Also these mobs are funded by the CCP, islamic nations i.e. not Iran but Turkey[a NATO member] and even Qatar. The US has a 10,000 strong USAF Base there. As well as uses their ports and IIRC has a small USN base. They buy billions of $ US military equipment. It would be hard for the US to be in disagreement with Turkey. Or even e.g. leave Qatar, sanction them, etc. They are in a very strategic location. And the Turks have the 2d largest military in NATO. And is the largest islamic member of NATO. The "protests" on universities, in the streets, etc. are in reality are not freedom of speech, they are not peaceful assembly or protests. They are clearly riots. Could one imagine if these "protesters" were dressed as KKK/Neo-Nazis, etc. waving Swastikas, camping out on campuses, occupying buildings on campuses, threating and attack e.g. Blacks or Asians ? Those would be shut down with Federal assets need be. But for some reason if these rioters are well funded pro-islamic terrorists, anti-US, anti-West dupes, pretty much get a pass from the local gov't. Limiting what local & state LEOs can do. The academics that teach or run these universities tacitly support these rioters in one way of another. Whether at learning institutions, allowing Fed Gov't sanctioned & supported open borders, interfering with Fed, state, and local LEOs doing their jobs, supporting the criminals, let spies, operatives, terrorists etc. use the other border crossers as cover, etc. It comes down to lack of good order and discipline, blatantly ignoring Fed Laws, the Constitution, etc. is the real threat to US democracy. Any Republic that can't protect it population, cannot control its borders is in trouble. With the huge numbers of millions upon millions of illegal aliens breaking US laws. Body Count is reported as low as 10 million to over 20 million of illegal aliens/criminals in roaming the US. That is an invasion by any other measure. An invasion approved, supported and sanctioned by a POTUS, many of his party, activists, wealthy "patrons" etc. Is again, the real threat to democracy. This is a war for the heart, soul, culture, etc. of the USA. And about 30% of its citizens support this movement. The current POTUS and party no matter of failings may be the USA's last best hope of keeping the USA as the USA. Yes with all its failings, but it has come a very long way for only being 250 yrs old. It is still a work in progress. But is threatened from within supported by its enemies … |

While Harvard has some things to answer for, the cuts to elite research institutions are ignorant and detrimental to American interests and society. Harvard is much bigger in our history than this current period. Free speech does have laws for public safety, so enforce them. But this is America, and you cannot punish something so intrinsic to American values and principles with a broad stroke. The Nazis got to do their chants at Charlottesville. Repugnant, but tread carefully where freedom of speech is concerned. POTUS is required to enforce the laws passed by Congress, not make his own. Nobody gets that POTUS is an elite nepo kid who went to an elite Ivy League university. and grad school. There are numerous Harvard grads in the WH. But it's far bigger than that. We are going to strangle higher ed instead of coming to terms with it. The backlash unity at the Harvard commencement will only be the start of a bigger movement. The "scum" are now Trumps "deplorables" Those millions of tax dollars are voted on by our reps in Congress. It's our money and it's law once it passes in Congress. Our leading institutions may be flawed, but they are also essential to progress in many walks of life. Cutting advanced medical research and Medicaid in the same budget does not bode well for us. If this government does not accept checks and balances as the Constitution requires, if it attacks the judiciary and annything else that defines executive power, the balance that protects use from authoritarian rule will be gone. |

Why are colleges like Harvard being signaled out?… From a very liberal source… Yahoo News: "Trump has threatened to withhold funding from several universities in the U.S. if they do not follow federal directives, all under the banner of fighting antisemitism. He has alleged the institutions did not do enough to combat antisemitism during the protests against the war in Gaza, which brought allegations of both antisemitism and Islamaphobia. Harvard rejected the administration's orders, which included ending all diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs, hiring an external auditor to ensure the university hosts diverse ideological viewpoints, and update admissions processes to bar students "hostile to the American values and institutions inscribed in the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence." Defying the orders has put billions of dollars worth of federal funding and Harvard's tax-exempt status at risk. The Trump administration also recently attempted to prohibit the school from enrolling international students, which was blocked by a federal judge." Yes Jewish students feel unsafe and are being in some cases persecuted on these campuses. Watch the MIT link I put up. I have many links showing what has gone on. Yes, a diverse faculty is important, so let's get an equal group with views that oppose the current liberal lock on academia in colleges like Harvard. Also place them in the leadership of those institutions. Education is supposed to be well rounded. How can it be so, when liberals dominate the colleges? They need to be cleaned up. The only thing they understand is $$$. Many of the students are already well indoctrinated in DEI , anti-colonialist ideology and no real love of country. Especially those from countries that don't like the U.S. anyway. This will not make it more so. Do US students, not want to attend these schools? It would seem those 2 making the speeches would be good candidates to go. 🤔
"The Trump administration's threat to block Harvard from enrolling international students would remove more than a quarter of the university's student body, a share large enough to rock its campus and, potentially, its tuition revenue." 25% foreign! How many Chinese spy's? How many who don't have our best interests at heart? 🤔 : These Are the U.S. Universities Most Dependent on International Students – The New York Times link But I do agree, the Congress needs to step up! The Nazis got to do their chants at Charlottesville. Repugnant, but tread carefully where freedom of speech is concerned. Indeed -- but did said Nazis then chase Jewish students into a library, where they barricaded themselves in for safety while "Protesters" screamed and slammed at the doors? Was it Nazis or their Student-analogues and Leftist Professors who spiked antisemitic hate crimes by almost 400% since October 7? Was it a Nazi or a "Free, Free Palestine!" movement individual who gunned down two people at the Israeli embassy, who also yelled "From the River to the Sea!" which is a call for genocide? Btw -- ironic that the young couple who were murdered (a Jewish-Christian couple) were active in organizing Humanitarian Aid for Gaza…so the murdered killed people trying to help the Palestinians on whose behalf he says he killed them. That's the Left for you… Indeed -- is there a difference with a distinction between the modern College Campus/Left campaign of hate and violence against Jews and modern Nazis? And didn't the spiritual founder of the Muslim Brotherhood and ultimately Hamas collaborate with Adolf Hitler in WW2 to form the SS Arab Legion and the SS Handschar which committed atrocities against Jews, Christians and minorities during the War? Nazi = Hamas. |

FWIW Gordon Change said something about almost all PRC students are spies or working for the CCP … I've said this before instead of Pro-Hamas, Anti-US, Anti-West protesters i.e. rioters. If it was a KKK, Neo-Nazis, etc. saying and doing the same thing about Blacks or Asians … The 82d, 101, Rangers and USMC would be sent in to save those minorities, etc. … And again, when those in the media use the words Nazis, Gestapo, etc. Should read more history … or shut the up ! As far as Hamas, the IDF shut off any supplies/aid going into Gaza. Unless they release all the hostages … dead or alive. Again Hamas, islamic Jihad, Al Axa, etc. and all that terrorist scum just don't get it. Everyone of those women and children that die from starvation, disease, wounds, etc. That blood is on Hamas, Iran, etc. hands. Always was … No one is going to come to their aid. They again, lost … Nothing is going to change. But more of the dead stack up. And never, ever should anyone forget what they did on 7 Oct. If they are lucky, the IDF won't do what Rome did to Carthage. That would be my solution. The UN, other moslems etc. are going to have to take care of their Palestinian brothers. If Gaza is rebuilt, re-occupied by the Palestinians/Hamas, etc. The IDF is going to have to go back in and do this all over again in 4-5 yrs. |

Well, this is the Right for you! Too much to unpack here in detail for my poor brain. I do not disagree with much of what you say. But some does not fit for me. Hamas is not like the Nazis in many ways, though they are equally evil in intent. Hamas sympathizers in the US do not murder American citizens based on their race. The last nut job shooter is not much different than the Texas Walmart shooter killer gunning down Latinos. I did not deny that changes have to be made at Harvard and elsewhere. Example: Hillsdale is a model of mostly one way right wing thought, but it accepts no federal funds. While its contributions to research and progress are not on the level of Harvard's, it is free to go its own way. New rules for federal funds going to private institutions are in order. It's not about balance so much as it is about apolitical use of funds. This is a matter for a functioning Congress. I do not want the guy who founded Trump University going to war with Harvard all on his own. This is not his area of expertise, but he also does not have the constitutional authority. |
SBminisguy | 01 Jun 2025 9:25 a.m. PST |
Well, that's interesting -- turns out that Hamas CHARGED Gazans for the free aid the UN allowed them to distribute. See, the UN, being staffed full of brilliant minds, prefers to work with the Hamas-Nazis and gives Hamas aid instead of giving it directly to people. And what Hamas doesn't steal, it gouges Gazans for. But the US-Israeli direct aid program, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, does NOT charge for aid it distributes: Palestinians picking up food packages from the Trump administration-backed American alternative to the United Nations (UN) in Gaza were reportedly shocked the aid was free, having become used to being charged for it. link |

Yes, I was wrong, but I still think these are exceptions, considering the number of student protesters who committed no crimes or misdemeanor violations. This does not mean I support or agree with them…please! Hamas has reaped what it has sown and it's hard to imagine their crimes would not be avenged by Israel, even if the response seems over the top at times now. They did not start this. Why anyone in the US would support Hamas makes no sense. But the latest hate crime figures, and these are mostly antisemitic, has risen tremendously in the last 12 months. This news requires us to go back to trusting the FBI, whose competence and validity has been widely questioned here, to track these numbers. The war in Gaza has raised the level of activity for sure, and looks like the war will not end until Gaza is gone or there is a new leader in Israel. |

Just reading; "CNN persisted Tuesday in publishing fake news pushed by Hamas, claiming that "dozens" of Palestinians had been killed near an American-run aid side in Gaza, despite Israeli denials and a history of Hamas lies. Israeli government spokesman David Mencer told journalists: "The IDF did not fire at civilians in, or near, humanitarian aid distribution zones." CNN reported its story under the headline, "Dozens of Palestinians killed near Gaza aid distribution point, health officials say, in third day of shooting." It cited the Gaza "health ministry" without noting that the "ministry" is controlled entirely by Hamas and has a long record of false and sensational claims and reported that "Israeli forces opened fire on Palestinians as they made their way to the distribution site in Tel al-Sultan in Rafah."" The Gazens might lie about things like this!? 😱 Say it ain't so Joe! Say it ain't so! Did it happen? Maybe, maybe not. But it is disputable. "There will be atrocities and rumors of atrocities… but yeh! The end times are not yet upon us." From "The Book of They" chapter 597 verse 65 🙏 |

Yes I would say, telling Hamas and civilians apart would be extremely difficult. Since most Hamas are Palestinians. Like finding Waldo. That is the problem when your enemy melts back into the willing population. Again classic guerilla/insurgent dogma. The IDF has given Hamas, etc. too many chances to end this nightmare. These jihadis still won't give up at the hostages, the living and the dead. If they have not figured it out yet. Their barbaric, medieval, etc. attack on 7 Oct. may have been a short-lived tactical victory. But a strategic error. They poked the lion, and now the lion is hungry and wants payback. I'll be amazed if Gaza will be rebuilt to what it was. Or ever be occupied again and under Palestinian/Hamas control. A recipe for disaster. Time to end this … this has been going for decades. They think they are winning with all the death, turmoil, etc. caused in the US by their well-funded supporters/useful dupes. And they think many in the US support their war. As we see many of these supporters are illegal aliens, their visas, etc. have expired, etc. They are no friends to the US. Their well-funded pro-Hamas/anti-Semitic narrative/agenda/dogma really is also anti-US and anti-West … Again, the total lack of effective realistic, etc. leadership we saw with the former POTUS/Admin, etc. is a gift that just keeps on giving. As a sidebar, a well-known outspoken member of Congress recently started one of their go to mantras. After the terrorist attack in CO. "Stronger Gun Control" has to be the answer ! But interesting this last attack on Jews was from a homemade flame thrower. And amazingly the attacks were made by an Egyptian/moslem, who was illegal … Hmmm ? |

There are probably no solutions to finally ending the rule of Hamas other than what the Israelis are doing. By painting all Gazans as Hamas, they don't have to worry about the occasional war crime. They have their revenge several times over, but they must make sure there will never be another Oct. 7. In the big picture, they don't have much choice if they want to protect themselves. There are times when there is no clean way to fight a fanatic enemy and protect your country. It is terrible to see so many civilians killed. But Hamas created this death trap for its people by launching a brutal attack and weaponizing its civilian population. |

I think most major news outlets named the Israelis as the shooters, not just CNN. The aid itself is a drop in the bucket. There is no"better way" to save these people until Hamas is gone. |
