For anyone who wants to come and throw some dice with The League of Augsburg, come and see our PP game at Partizan on Sunday October 8th. We are using Rolling Thunder! for fleet level 17th century games. Link to the blog here: link Some pics of the game here

Outstanding! Really glad to see the period feel of the semi-mob squadrons instead of stately well behaved perfectly spaced ships in line. |

The optics definitely reflect the battle. |

Beautiful Barry! I've always had a sweet spot ever since an article on the River Medway raid in an old UK magazine from the 1980s (Military Modeler perhaps?). Anyway, are those the 1/4800 scale Tumbling Dice ships? I have Mad for War and unpainted 1/2400 fleets. Need to do something with them. |

Yes TD 1/4800 – although, IMHO they are not 1/4800 link

Thanks All. The rules certainly seem to have caught the imagination of gamers interested in the period. Favourable comments around the contrast with the one-sidedness of Napoleonic gaming came up unbidden several times in a few hours. |

PAR – I remember that article and yes, it was Military Modelling. It used to have some cracking articles in it… |

Are the TD 1:4800 half the size of the 1:2400? |

I did a fairly detailed piece on the issue if you are interested. It is here link The 1/4800s are actually about 1/3000 and the 1/2400s about 1/2000 |

That is helpful. Was planning to print some of these wrecks to go with TD 1/2400 models link |

Those are nice. I have some 3D printed stuff, the biggest problem with it is the highly brittle nature of the prints. |
