As some of you may remember, I had some minor health issues, but I'm back in the saddle and working to catch up on all my email and PMs.
I'm happy to say that we're getting ready to send another box of lead (and plastic) off to Fernando Enterprises! We've sent over 20 painting orders to our friends in Sri Lanka over the years, but this will be the first post-Covid painting order for us.
The order this time is a little complicated, as several of the advertisers contributed figures or models this time, so I have to coordinate with them to get correct painting instructions (especially for periods I am not intimate with). So I've got four sets of figures that I have the figures in hand, but the painting instructions for them are a work in progress…
Once the painting order is finalized and shipped off, I can get back to other projects, including a long backlog of Showcase, Profile and Workbench articles for you, and some work I need to do on website infrastructure.
The staff editors continue to work away, and I am always grateful for their support. As you may remember, the neighborhood where Editor Gwen was living suffered a major fire a few weeks ago, and the family has since been living in the burned-out house. TMP was able to raise some money to help the family, but not enough to put a new roof up. Editor Gwen has therefore gone back to live with her mother in the province, where she only has to deal with clan wars, flooding and landslides!
