Perhaps some of you know Stephan Huber from the Perries, as he painted some of their range and also wrote some articles with nice infographic plates.

He just has started his own miniatures range covering the German unification war, and as a Bavarian he started with the Bavarian army, of course.

His first releases (Bavarian infantry and some nice plates/flags for free download) are available via his site at bavaria-miniatures.com

Was in on the Kickstarter – superbly detailed and cast figures highly recommended.

Those are some NICE figures! Do you know how they match up to the Perry's range? I ask because the Perry metal figures are noticably smaller than their plastic sets, especially the French line infantry.

Super stoked about this too, though I think the Perries are overrated and prefer the Eagles of Empire range.

Not to be a heretic, but great for VSF as well.

Wow those are super nice!! Just coincidently ordered a copy of Marrion's books on FPW uniforms last week….

Not my period at all but superb figures.

@Perris: I don't know the relation to the Perries, as I'm awaiting the first parcel from Stephan. But many Bavarians wrote in their memoirs that the French were smaller in height and when they tried to use the French shoes (particularly the wooden peasant ones) these were most often too small.

So if the Bavarians are a bit higher, you may refer to these Bavarian memoirs.

Thanks Markus! The Perry plastic French line infantry figures are 35mm tall! That's measured from foot to top of kepi.

Hello there!

And first of all: thank you very much Markus for your kind words and post here! I am glad all you guys enjoy the miniatures.

Bavaria Miniatures were designed to fit Perry Miniatures and I mix them for my personal collection. A comparison shot can be found on the old Kickstarter Page: kck.st/3WC6eIo

You just need to scroll a little bit.

I am currently planning the new sets for the next Kickstarter. :)

Cheers,
Stephan
