Like the title says… I'm wanting to build a unit of British Royal Marines for my 28mm Pirate Gaming, but am not sure of the colors, headgear, uniforms, etc. Would there be a different variation for any that served in the Caribbean vs Europe? And what of standard garrison troops? Is there a good reference to this (with photos and color plates)? Thanks in advance. |

Marines became 'Royal' in 1802 apparently. |

If you aren't worried about being strictly historical, do them the way they looked in Black Sails. Red coats with tan small clothes and tan trim on the red facings. link |
