Pictures from last night's game. Part 1 (it will continue next week). 20mm scale figures. This is the battle for the Bliss Farm playtesting the second edition of Brother Against Brother. We were testing the concept of using multi-based figures for the game instead of singly based.

First bunch of pics show the table. There was also some good dice rolling….

Got through 6 turns with my 1DE being pressed hard but reinforcements have just started to arrive…..

Rest of the pics are here:

Nice looking game. I thought that was a skirmish set of rules.

That looks like great fun. My question in regards to Brother against Brother II. As Pope Julius II said, "When will you make an end?"

The game looks really impressive; I, too, thought it was skirmish sort of game with a couple dozen figures per side. Is this set of rules still available? Is a new and improved version coming out?

Mark, that looks excellent.

One of those Gettysburg fights that doesn't get much replay – just burn the barn and be done with it.

BAB is not really a skirmish game (in my mind). Figures are grouped in to units of 10 men called a squad with 3-6 squads forming a company. So it is really more a small unit action game. With a big table, and 3 players per side, it is possible to play battles of this size. We have roughly two regiments per side (no cavalry or artillery).

As for when it might see daylight…..who knows? The main mechanics (movement, fire, melee, morale) are done and work is being done on the edges – hold fire, straggler recovery, double time, etc.

They play smooth and fast. D10 based. Firing is by unit. Movement is variable (2d10 normally).

Very nice with an impressively sized table.

Best wishes ,

Chris
