It has been a nice sunny week in the UK. 20 degrees C. Phew!?

Sorted out my WW1 Square Bashing armies into a set of new "Really useful boxes" 10L size. The 10L is a good size for a 15mm army with all the attendant markers and options. These boxes stack nicely too. The old box files used to slide around too much.
I put a sheet of gripper kitchen drawer stuff in too. Rymans have a good price on these in the UK.

I have decided to label the MG and professional infantry bases in my late war German army by slicing off a corner of the base effect and putting down a triangular patch of light blue or yellow. A sign of my failing eyesight (sad face).

Went to the COLOURS wargames show in Newbury. I still call it Reading on occasions, because that is where the show was for many years (Hexagon).

Bought some yellow acrylic paint from ENTOYMENT. Green stuff world "Cyber yellow" . Very good coverage ability.

Made some fabric roads for 15mm WW2 games. Cut off 2" strips from a Geek villain mat and soaked them in black acrylic paint. After a squeeze out they look very nice. The GEEK fabric does not fray and adheres to cloths well. This gives the opportunity to make long road lengths of 4 foot and other random sizes. I don't like short road pieces which tend to drift apart.

Made some scenic pieces for Conquerors and kings. Model ply bases. 10x 6 inches. Insulating foam cut to size. PVA glue to attach foam to base. Then rough sandpaper to smooth off the foam rough edges. Inserted slices of cork to give effect to rough hills. Covered it all in TETRION filler which is very tough and a bit flexible. It is intended for wall repairs. Made it very watery for smoothness. Pressed in some rocks and grass clumps. Then sprinkled with dry sand to give a rough surface.
Painted it all a bright green with a yellow drybrush (the sand catches the yellow). Looks nice but sounds garish?
I was upset by the happenings in Libya and Morocco.

Games played this week.

1. Conquerors and kings. Macedonians versus Germans. Macedonians won.
2. Square bashing Americans versus my Serbians. Serbians pulled off a very lucky win with their lack of artillery assets and poor quality infantry.
3. Square bashing trench assault; in preparation for the Square bashing day at Battlefield hobbies Daventry 30th September. tickets from the shop/internet. Our German assault got chopped to bits by determined British defenders.

How busy was your wargaming week out of 10? Mine was an 8.

Sounds pretty busy to me. Way more active than me.
