I'm looking for some 3x5 inch MDF bases and wonder who in the USA makes them.

Litko seems to only make plywood bases.

MDF glides easily across Cigar Box Battle Mats whereas plywood has a rougher surface which prevents the base from being pushed

You can check Etsy, as well. You can ask them to cut MDF bases of any custom size needed. I did, for MDF Triangles I needed: I found an Etsy seller who offered them close to the size I needed. I contacted them, asking if they could custom cut what I needed they did, for a slightly higher fee than a similarly sized triangle they offered.

Anyone with a 40W laser cutter can cut a sheet of MDF to the sizes that you need. Cheers!

Things From the Basement and Phalanx are off my list as they only offer metric bases. Vendor must be located in the USA. I don't want to deal with international hassle.

I need 150 to 200 3" by5" bases. Does anyone out there want my business?

Litko makes affordable Plywood bases.

Can't say I've ever noticed any roughness with the LITKO bases.

According to Bob Vila, MDF is rougher than plywood. link

Dealing with Sarissa is not a hassle.

Regarding Phalanx. Did you talk to Chris Bennet there? He has cut "inch-measured"" bases for us here in Denver recently.
(Or did you just go by what he has on his website?)

Litko also makes clear acrylic bases which slide very well over cigar box mat's although I use them infrequently preferring neoprene mats from other sources such as Table Top. The clear bases allow the mat to show through and save a tremendous amount of time in flocking.

Things from will do custom work just ask. Joerg is a great guy.

The Etsy vendor I worked with, on the custom triangles, was great to work with, and fast turn-around: WoodenCraftCutouts, located in Kuna, Idaho.

I ordered 21, 200mm, equilateral triangles (they will do inches, as well, but I needed more precision, so I gave them metric measurements), and I got them delivered within 14 days. I used my equilateral triangles to make a d20 Globe, and they worked superbly -- their cut measurements were precise. Cheers!

I bought mine from Litko many years ago. Litko does make stands using inches. It is a pretty unusual size, so you are probably going to have to ask whatever company you want to use.

Game Crafters is in Tennessee. (So is Phalanx Consortium.) Both are highly recommended!

Just to be clear, I use Cigar Box mats almost exclusively now and I use Litko for the majority of my bases. However, the material used in the mats catch on to the plywood base, the end result is that it is difficult to slide the plywood base across the surface of the cloth mat.

I also have some laser cut MDF bases. Brown in color and a smooth surface that practically glide across the Cigar Box mat. Given the choice, I like the MDF base. I just used Litko bases as an example of the effects of plywood on the mat. It's not my intention to be critical of Litko or any other base maker. It's the plywood that isn't working well for me..

Also, I'm asking that responders not give me international vendors as sources. I know who those sources are, they are very good companies, it's just that I'd like to find a local, domestic supplier.

Again, I'm not criticizing any company. I'm just saying that I don't want to use plywood bases.

Get in touch with Jeff or Rich at games plus and get the contact for the gentleman that produces the MDF bases they sell in the store as he's local.

Von Blucher, I think that I will give that a try. Thanks.

I was going to be ordering from this company, but haven't yet. He does advertise custom work, so maybe contact him and see if he can help you out? He is in Kentucky.
