Love it, also loved the book ('Dictionary of Cuirassier Officers') so bought a copy – superb book but I can't fathom out why Milhaud isn't featured in it. Any ideas why?

Yes indeed, an impressive spectacle and the third photo in particular points to the one thing you never read about in the histories and accounts of battles in the period and that is the amount of dung littering the field.
