How do you plan to use them?

Gotta love Mike's Models. Full of character. Well done.

Very Nice Andy dr beard. Sorry kropotkin303, they're not Mikes Models, they're my figures Grumpy Miniatures :). Available from various Eureka Miniatures outlets where good pluderhosen can be found :).

Nice. However, the question is: Can they stand up to the Swiss?

dr beard09 Sep 2023 2:58 a.m. PST

Many thanks for the kind comments everyone.

They won't be going near any Swiss. These are later period 1550ish onwards so they don't have to worry about that!

Bill, French Wars of Religion but I'm also looking at the Swedish early Vasa period conflicts. I've based them mainly with Donnybrook in mind but quite flexibly re. rulesets.Ive got quite a lot of Essex late Renaissance/ Elizabethan I plan to use with them.

Grumpy, that's made my weekend you praising my painting of your figures. They're lovely to work on so full of character. Any chance of some more in this range?

All the best
Andy

Sorry Grumpy. Your figures are excellent.

I have a whole bunch of the Grumpy figures (Malay, Tupi, Cossacks, colonial Portuguese, etc) to include their later landsknecht. Very nice sculpts with lots of character and paint up very nicely. I wish Mr Grumpy made some mounted reiters as well. I picked up some Old Glory figures for my mounted section.

Also have heaps of the old Mikes Models which have a similar sculpting style. One day I will need to finish getting them painted. Dr Beard has done a magnificent job with his brushwork on those lovely sculpts. Job well done!

Nice figures and paint job! I'm not sure I could cope with 15mm scale with my eyes!
