The theme for this week is… missing! Just finished a unit of 15mm axemen. Too bad I have no idea where their two-handed axes are! (Probably with the missing spears for the spearmen…) Four 28mm fantasy horsemen are on the workbench. Weapons missing, presumably spears… where do these things go! On the other hand, I opened a drawer and found my long-lost 1:72 Confederates! Now to get them based… |

That's funny. I am usually the other way around. I will agther the odds and ends to complete a unit for years and there the lead piles sit until I finally have it all. ,,,and then I have to go mining through the lead, from end to end like an archeologists until I find all the components again,,, |

I've been building some GW kill teams and Victrix Napoleonics all plastic multipart kits. What gets me is when you drop something, like a head or gun, how as soon as it hits the floor the small plastic part immediately fires up it's Romulan cloaking device to completely disappear. Forcing you to crawl around on your hands and knees with you phone torch on hoping to find the tiny bit of plastic. |

I seem to recall one of our friends saying he bought a new unit that he really wanted, painted it up, and when he put it into storage he found the exact same unit painted up and table ready already there. |

Bill, you know the quickest way of finding them, is by hitting the "place order" button for their replacements. |

The floor under my paint bench is actually a portal to another dimension. Anything that lands there is gone. |

"Welcome to, The Twilight Zone." Du-du, Du-du… I think that I AM Rod Serling -- I can never escape, "The Twilight Zone." It's everywhere, Man! Everywhere in my crafting area! LOL! Cheers! |

Just ONE of your friends, Col Durnford? And only once? There has been a tank missing on the floor of the painting area for--three weeks, now? More or less. Admittedly 2mm, but still. And that was following my usual standard search pattern with broom and dustpan, the table moved, swept and moved back before another sweep and the whole place lit up like a surgery. I don't like to dwell on the complete full footlocker of painted and based 6mm SYW. Nothing ever turned up but the footlocker--empty except for a few casualty markers. Wherever they are, I hope they're well, and someone is enjoying them. |

I have a small bag of WWI militaria that comes and goes. I've been looking for it again, but no luck so far. |

Damn, I'm glad all of this stuff doesn't just happen to me. |

A 6mm Semovente turned up resting on a table leg this evening. I've super-glued it to a 1" styrene base to make it easier to spot next time. |

My theory is that those things are with the missing socks. |

We moved a few years back and I am missing a few things, most notably some packs of Westwind WWII heads for a conversion project that won't get done until I find them It was good to move, though – found a lot of stuff that I had forgotten about |

" Forcing you to crawl around on your hands and knees with you phone torch on hoping to find the tiny bit of plastic." I have a love hate relationship with the rug under my work space. Fortunately my wife will take pity and help me find the missing culprit. I have learned when working with super glue the missing part can go any where. Yes even places your swimming suit covers. Nuff said! |
