You were asked – TMP link

What percentage of your wargame purchases – books, troops, terrain and rules – do you still have with you? Out of everything you've purchased, please: not last month's bargains.

Average response: 71.86%

I've given stuff away, but it didn't even make a dent!

I, too have sold off/given stuff away, but it just creates a vacuum in my house, and nature abhors a vacuum…

Awhile back I was refreshing the paint on some Airfix Napoleonic French that go back about 45 years. I paused on one figure and remembered some of the battles he must have taken part in. Without too much further thought, I painted a Legion of Honor ribbon on him.

Probably 85%. I like what Bob posted though.

I still have the vast majority of my stuff. I stayed at home during college and was married in my own place when I went to the service so my mom and wife never tossed out my collection.

I never had to downsize, but I have changed scales a few times or exited a time period, no more Napoleonics. But I always more than made up the losses.

Probably 95% for me. When I turn 8- I start selling it all.

Korvessa07 Sep 2023 7:46 p.m. PST

A lot lower
Maybe 25%
I have sold and resupplied many times

Mine goes back to the remains of my Arifx 20mm soldiers I made childish wargames out of in the 60's. Many were lost over the years, but there's still a good box of various types. Needless to say, little else has been tossed.

My AWI armies include Scruby 30mm miniatures bought in 1950, my first metal. (Previousy had a lot of Airfix.) Of the 50 first bought, about 20 still survive and are regularly used. The rest are broken or lost.
