OMM had a thread about Victrix 1/144 models. The Victrix site lists a game (WW2 Company Commander) available as an app (Apple and I think- Android). Supposedly it takes care of all the math including measuring distances using the app on your phone. Has anyone used these rules? I'm trying to put together something simple for my high school military history course. Thoughts?

My WWII rules are called Company Commander but there's no app involved. They are from 2001.

Thanks

I had never heard of these rules til now.

If you want something simple for a class, you might look at Crossfire. Infantry focused but very easy to teach, super fun, and really focuses on good tactics. Players can run a platoon or two each, with maybe 1 or 2 tanks (the armor rules are pretty weak).

Another option is Action All Fronts:

Memoir 44 is fun and easy to teach but it's connection to history is pretty accidental.

I believe you are referencing WW2 Company Commander digitalwargaming.com

I downloaded recently for my Ipad but have not played it yet. As you say it takes care of things like measuring and the math so would definitely make it much easier to learn.
