Sam was a member of the Special Ops team in the Bakhmut area that I've been supporting. He came to Ukraine with no combat experience in April 2022 but eventually became the Assistant Team Leader. He was part of the unit that was responsible for gathering intel, and planning, and executing the Kharkiv Offensive in September 2022.

That's Sam on the left in March 2023 in the Bakhmut area.

That's sad. He looks very young. No combat experience? Did he have any military training at all? Is there a means for returning his body to Britain?

According to the website "Lostarmore" (each name has a confirming link), 13 British citizens died on the side of Ukraine.

War eats young people. If he has been there since (at least) nov -22 he was plenty experienced no matter his previous service (or non service).

There is usually ways of getting the body back home. The volunteers I know of who have died have all come home to be buried by their families.

Ukraine is doing a good job of getting people home.

The corpse was found at the end of June, in one of the ponds in the rear regions of Ukraine. There were no Russians there. The parents of the deceased learned about his death only now. The Ukrainian government says it conducted an investigation but kept its findings classified. A British investigation will now be ordered. But for some reason it will begin only in February…
But of course the Russians are to blame)))

But of course the Russians are to blame – The murderous scum invaded a sovereign country because that country did not want to become one of Spewtins stooge states,

Tally Ho!
