Hello everyone ,

Besides minifigs and Blackwatch Miniatures*, who sells nice 20mm metal figurines of Redskins and American soldiers for the Plains Wars?

*Because I guess as usual those from Irregular Miniatures are too small compared to those from minifigs and Blackwatch Miniatures…

Thanks

Newline Designs has a great range of Little Bighorn figures.

RAFM in Canada has a Plains Wars line (Plains US Cavalry and Sioux)- but 25mm – but Old School 25mm. great figures – I am in the process of painting up a bunch for my what-if the US invaded Western Canada in the 1870s/1880s. RAFM does a great line of Canadian army/Metis for that period as well. They also do a US Civil War line to flesh out your US Cavalry troopers.

You know it is not exactly PC to use "Redskins" anymore and both sides are Americans. So instead of American Soldiers, just say soldiers or U.S. Army. I am not a member of the PC police. I just want to help you avoid them. I have a lengthy rap sheet.

OC,

I was thinking about saying that too.

@cavcrazy,

Bravo and thanks because I didn't think about it anymore! It's true that Newline Designs in 20mm has a lot of references for the Nadowessioux that can be used for other redskins, given the size of the figurines and also references of autochtones and allochtones for the American Soldiers of the Plains Wars and I saw that it there were also many figurines of indigenous warriors for the colonial wars in africa and asia, but it remains to be seen whether they are compatible with my "S" series minifigs and Blackwatch Miniatures …

There is also Hagen miniatures …

But all these figurines are too small for my S series minifigs, which are too small for my 25mm Minifigs!

Historifigs "Classic 25mm" are smaller than Minifigs. They are 23mm from the base to the eyes. No Native Americans, but the ACW Cavalry might be useful. Note, they are definitely Old School figures. link

SLave2gaming has a new-ish 20mm Plains War Range.

Does Black Watch make Indians, they seem to only list this Custer's last stand vignette set:

Does anyone make Plains Indian civilians?

Also, is there a book that goes in depth for pony painting schemes?

Anyone ever use this Blue Moon Stagecoach model? If you swap out the horses could you also use it with 20mm minis?
