started playing age of hannibal rules. great system. using the author suggested by using a d8. works great.

Yes. Good set of rules. We played a lot for a while there. Romans vs. Carthaginians. I'm working on Macedonians and Persians.

I've always been tempted by Age of Hannibal. I like the Chipco games mechanics (which I believe influenced AoH) so I imagine I'd like these as well. Problem is that I really enjoy To The Strongest and have armies based for that already.

They are Chipco rules tweaked by their group over decades. Chipco Ancients was 1st put out back when the Fantasy rules were popular. They were unoffical even then. The guys at LWTV pay Chipco for their version of the rules. I like them too!
I'd like to see more expansion of the rules back and forward.

Can anyone compare/contrast Age of Hannibal rule set to the Triumph! rule set? I'm a fan of Triumph! but never played Age of Hannibal.
