Some magazine had a write up about doing Mons using 10mm miniatures and Black Powder rules. Anyone know which and what issue? |

Hi D6 – it was WI322, AUGUST 2014. The game was a group effort by The Friends of General Haig wargaming club, of which I'm a member. fogh.home.blog We've done quite a bit of August/September 1914 gaming using Black Powder with the 10mm collection we built up for Elouges. We'll be at Warlord HQ this Saturday for their open day (playing a Culloden 1746 game) so if you're in the area come along and we can have a chat about Elouges. (Thanks to Reginald Volestrangler for the tip-off of this query as I'm an infrequent visitor to this part of the boards.) |

CTG, Beautiful blog/website. Is there a way to search for August/September 1914 games or a direct link to these games? |

@D6 – you're welcome :) @Big Red – thanks! The game was played before we had our fancy website so no detail there I'm afraid (the link was just a shameless plug for the club !). The battle was detailed in Wargames Illustrated and you can see the old magazines online if you are a WI Prime member – well worth it for a new magazine each month and access to all of the back issues. |
