I needed buildings for my 28mm First World War project and finding Warlord's Ruined Hamlet set in a sale seemed the perfect solution. It's a very versatile set and with additional scratch building can be made into a number of useful terrain pieces. There is a step by step tutorial on how I did this in a blog post you can find here Terrain Making using Warlord's Ruined Hamlet

Very nice-looking pieces! As I read and looked at the photos, I found myself thinking this might work for my Chain of Command armies!

Looking really good!

Reading your write-up, I was thinking to myself will he get obsessed with the realistic piles of rubble, and forget to leave flat spaces for placing figures? But I was happy to see you had already thought of that.

Looking at the finished works, those exposed rafters seem a little lonely. Maybe add 2-3 forlorn roof tiles or shingles clinging precariously onto them?

But they look great already and I would love to play on them.

Really great tutorial on this. I really like the use of the aquarium pebbles with this kit. This really looks good.
