This month I finished off a fourteen month project to build several French, British and Spanish age-of-sail squadrons for two friends, that culminated in this Spanish squadron, constructed from the Warlord Spanish Fleet box.

In this final post in the series I take a look at a snapshot of the history behind these models and conclude with a preview of the next batch of work and posts to feature on the blog.

Those ship models are spectacular! Can I be your friend?

Beautiful work. I was always up for the Spanish command back when we played a lot of age of sail games.

Hi Chaps,
Thank you, glad you like Jack's new additions.

The Spanish are a challenge to play, bring lots of colour to the table and a great deal of satisfaction on those odd occasions when they get a result.

Cheers

Very nice work. I'd like to have seen a broadside view of the squadron to see the paint schemes for inspiration for my 1/2400 Spaniards.
