link Not necessarily. Going west horses pulling a wagon often won't make the desert. But traveling back east for simple cargo transport, horses, mules, and oxen are fine depending on the weight and distance and speed you want. Horses are the fastest but short range. Oxen are the strongest but very slow. I took the Atlantic long horn cattle and cut down their horns and made yoke out of plastic and have them tow these wagons for my western games.
