I don't think Putin's condolences will offer any comfort to the two pilots and the stewardess – collateral damage? |

From Military.com : Wagner Grp may be destabilized by their leaders death … link Who knows if the Wagner 2IC made a deal with Putin to become the new Merc Leader ? Without Wagner in Putin's army, the Russians are missing their best soldiers. As we know generally the Russian military is marginal at best … They can sit in their defensive positions behind a morass of minefields, IEDs, etc. But they will never have the troops, firepower, etc. to go on an effective offensive, IMO. Maybe they plan to sit there in defensive positions, toss FA, missiles, drones, etc. at the Ukraine. Until a brokered peace comes into effect. Which will in turn mean Putin holds the Donbas, the land bridge to Crimea and Crimea. Russia will claim a "win". Then use those areas as jump off points to invade Ukraine again i.e. 3.0. After the Russians build up their forces just for that reason. Which will take years. But many of the politicians, leaders, etc., involved will claim something similar to "Peace in our Time". However, when the war 3.0 starts most of those leaders will be dead or very old … No skin off their noses … |

What happened to the wagner leadership figure with the SS runes tattooed on his neck. Is he thought to have died, or is he still helping defend russia against, er, Nazis?? Hang on, no that can't be right, well I, er, um…. |

Seneffe, Dmitry Utkin aka "Wagner" was on the plane apparently. His remains were identified by the tattoos. |

"North Korea is more of a theocracy…" It should be noted that the Great leader only travels by armored train (so even if a kamikaze flies into it, he has very little chance of dying in a plane crash… ;-) |

There can be a lot of fuel in a plane. Not sure even an armoured train would just shrug off a 747 loaded with fuel. Prigozhin's downfall seems so inevitable I am amazed by the hubris. Not exactly a great loss to humanity. Maybe one or two of his men will feel sufficiently motivated to improve the world further. |

There are rumors that he was not on the plane. We will have to see. But Putin is a gangster, he eliminates threats like Al Capone, Lucky Luciano, did, etc. Or the Mexican cartels, etc. As has been said so many times and just recently by 4 Star GEN(RET) Jack Kean of FOX had said again, to paraphrase … You cannot believe anything that Putin & the Russian say. Everything is propaganda. And should not be believed … I agree of course and it has become blatantly clear again with the unprovoked Russian invasion of the Ukraine. They were hunting Nazis, etc. ? |
